The forensic science, on the extremely popular televison program, CSI is amazingly accurate; CSI’s sociological science is horrendously inaccurate.
“The rich are just as devious as the poor,” is just one of many manic mutterings uttered by one of the characters on CSI.
Of course, when you’re attempting to boost ratings amongst the
middle/working-class, a most ‘devious’ plan could be to dis the
financial extremes of our society.
However, if you throughly study the quantitative information available you’ll find that humanity has a fairly even distribution of inhuman actions, regardless of economic factors.
But still, CSI does seems to proclaim the “Archie Bunker” (replacing “Racism” with “Economics”) mentality as good, normal and progressive.
CBS, and American mass media in general, has never been as intellectually sound as when Arnold Ziffel graced the airwaves;
in other words, a grunting porky is less retrogressive than some of the frequency feces that is broadcast.
Logorrheic lectures as news, Awillmos and Andgracey as haute humor, mentally myopic musings as political satire, you may not find Weapons of Mass Destruction BUT Words of Mass Deception are rampant everywhere American mass media thrives and jives.
An example: Joan of Arcadia and Numb3rs, the opposite sides of the same provincial coin; one side adorned with a voodoo priestess, the other with a hoodoo dude.
Making heroic pop icons of characters that should be undergoing deep psychiatric counseling seems to be a broadcast standard.
Edward R. Murrow demonstrated it best, he smoked himself to death just to escape the 24/7 boneheaded bombardment that the Skippy Goebbels news/entertainment media was, is and will be.
And that’s your home, your only home, tonight, last-night, late-night, yesterday and tomorrow.
DON’T TOUCH THAT DIAL!
Oh look, it’s another PBS program of little beasties fornicating with and then dining upon each other. Quickly fire-up the video recorder, Jeeves.
